Our community and the state continue to struggle in these hard economic times. We are fortunate to have a very giving community that has stepped forward to help all the various charities in town. The needs are many and diverse. I thank you for making Looper Speech and Hearing Center one of the not-for-profit agencies that you have chosen to support.
With the increase in our local unemployment rate, we saw a 60% increase in the need for financial assistance. We met this challenge head on and were able to provide over 7000 services. The ability to communicate by speaking, understanding and hearing are a vital part of our everyday life. Any impairment in any one of these areas can have a dramatic impact on your quality of life.
Many from our community have volunteered their time and their talents over the past year. I would like to thank them for everything that they have done to continue the mission of Looper Speech and Hearing Center.
